Davide is a multiple Grammy Award winner string arranger and orchestrator.

Diploma and Masters in violin at the Music Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milano (Italy), BA in composition at Bath Spa University and MSc in Digital Music Technology at Keele University (UK).

Further studies with Robert Fripp’s Guitar Craft seminars and composition with Karlheinz Stockhausen.

Davide’s ability to play every string instrument, from violin to viola, from cello to double bass and to multiple record himself, contributes to his unique orchestral sound.

Signature arrangements for Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” (which gave the band their first number one in the UK and the US) and “Paradise”, are just a tiny example of his work, that contributed to albums for the likes of Goldfrapp, The Verve, Depeche Mode, U2, The Killers, Neil Diamond, Alicia Keys, Dido, Jon Hopkins, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Chris Cornell and Röyksopp, amongst many others.

He has worked with producers like Brian Eno, Max Martin, Jacknife Lee, James Ford, Rick Rubin, Don Was, T Bone Burnett, Brendan O’Brien, Flood and countless others.

Since their debut album Felt Mountain, he has been part of the Goldfrapp live band for over 13 years, touring the world as an electric violinist and multi-instrumentalist.

With The Verve, he headlined festivals like Glastonbury and the V Festival and performed legendary events like Maida Vale and the BBC Proms.

He is a regular guest performer with Chris Martin and Coldplay and was part of the band’s artistic production team during their Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars.

As a conductor, he led the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, for a live recording of his symphonic rework of the worldwide hit album “Color By Numbers” by Culture Club, featuring Boy George, Hollie Cook, Jimmy Sommerville and John Grant and conducted the Melbourne and Sydney Symphony Orchestras for a remake of Australian electronic duo Flight Facilities album “Down To Earth”, which earned him an Aria Music award for best Classical album of the year.
